The Gore Boyz Are Making A Mark With Their Latest Single ‘Spend A Bag’.

In the news...
Check out the Press Release about The Gore Boyz Are Making A Mark With Their Latest Single ‘Spend A Bag’. This is the full interview written By SKRRRT CENTRAL.

The Gore Boyz Are Making A Mark With Their Latest Single ‘Spend A Bag’

Charlotte North Carolina, October 1, 2020 - Spend A Bag might’ve only been up for a month, but the song has reached over 200,000 streams and band members Sean Michael and Edwin are over the moon. Coming from Charlotte, North Carolina, boyband The Gore Boyz are set to make their own mark in the music world.

Made up of siblings Herman, Edwin, and Sean Michael Gore, the trio began their debut in 2009 singing, playing, and dancing for diverse audiences throughout the country. Their latest song Spend A Bag was produced by Grammy Awards Winner Theron ‘Neff-u’ Feemster and so was their previous single Swing My Way.

“We started singing together when I was in kindergarten. My oldest brother was in fifth grade and [Edwin] was in second grade and it was all because we wanted to be in the talent show,” smiled Sean Michael. “We had a dude named Earl Vernon to come to teach us how to sing and play instruments. And also had Big Mike from Day 26 to come to be our vocal coach. That's how we sing so well.”

The Gore Boyz are no strangers to the world of celebrities. Youngest Sean Michael even performed on-stage for Justin Bieber.

“It was so amazing. I arrived at the concert, I had to do soundcheck, and I got to just hang out in the VIP room. And when I got on stage, I just saw a bunch of flashlights and cameras and I just did whatever I felt like at the moment, so I asked him could I sing for him,” shared Sean Michael who is now 15 years old.

The band had met Hip Hop and R&B stars like Usher and even the legendary The Jackson Five. Growing up, The Jackson Five and Michael Jackson served as one of the biggest inspirations for the boys, inspiring them to start playing instruments and dancing. Sean Michael plays the drums whereas Edwin plays the guitar. Edwin is also the main rapper in the band, citing Drake as one of his favorite rappers.

Despite their musical upbringing and chasing a career in music, The Gore Boyz are just as hardworking in school. All three members of the band are honor roll students, with the eldest Herman majoring in Biology as a pre-Medicine student at Morehouse College.

“If we have schoolwork, we do our schoolwork first. And then we usually record our songs on the weekends and do our shows on the weekends. We focus on our schoolwork a lot,” shared Sean Michael.

Apart from school, The Gore Boyz actively participates in the community. Their Spend A Bag challenge encourages fans and artists alike to get creative during the quarantine. The challenge also aims to help other artists who are struggling as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. To inspire and to help out those in need, The Gore Boyz gifts $100 weekly to winners of the Spend A Bag challenge. The Gore Boyz themselves have been affected by the pandemic, and they want to do what they can to help others chase their dreams, as they have with theirs.

“The Coronavirus is slowing us down because we would have been doing concerts and stuff but we have two amazing songs that are in the production right now,” shared Sean-Michael. “They’re going to be our best two songs yet."

The Gore Boyz’s new songs are backed by Grammy Award-winning producers and writers out in Los Angeles such as Ron Feemster who wrote the theme song for Men in Black and Mischke Butler who’s worked with artists such as Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, and Little Mix.

Stream Spend A Bag on Spotify, YouTube, and all music platforms.
